Defined as "mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty," courage is something with which we are all equipped.

We have an endless supply, actually - the trick is learning how to tap into it on command.

Because courage is necessary to face change, and change is necessary for our soul's development during our lifetime, so the more we flex our courage muscle, the better.

Fortunately, opportunities to call upon our own personal stash of the stuff seem to multiply as the years go by.

It takes #courage to step outside your comfort zone, to try something you’ve never done before, or only done badly.

It takes #courage to explore feeding your body in new ways, to show up in a hotel gym for a workout, to show up at all.

It takes #courage to bring your own food when you vacation at your in-laws; it takes #courage to tell your bestie you’d rather meet for smoothies than cocktails from now on.

It can take #courage to trust everything will be ok in the end.

It takes #courage to stand up for yourself, to speak up for what is right, to call out an injustice.

It takes #courage to be the change you wish to see in the world.

Sometimes, it takes #courage just to get out of bed in the morning, let alone out the door, best face forward.

It takes #courage to stay strong; it takes #courage to fall apart.

It takes #courage to let your children makes their own mistakes; it takes #courage to blaze a trail other than the one your parents dreamed for you.

It takes #courage to walk away; it takes #courage to try again.

It takes #courage to start something new; it takes #courage to rebuild something beautiful.

We all have the ability and the opportunity to be courageous - to look fear, insecurity, and old baggage square in the eye and say, “Not today.”

The more often we practice summoning our #courage, the better we get at being brave, blazing trails, and breaking barriers.

So, here we go, friends - today is another chance to begin again, to look for chances to put #courage in front, fear in the back.

You are hereby invited to go forth like the superstar you are, and let your #courage lead!
