This list is known as The Noble Eightfold Path, which is the Buddha's practical instructions to reach the end of suffering. In brief: Right View: The wisdom to understanding things as they are, to see something in its true nature, without name or label. Right Intention: the intention and resolve to give up the causes of suffering, to give up ill-will, and to adopt harmlessness Right Speech: Tell the truth. Ask yourself, is what I'm about to say kind, useful and true? If not, practice staying silent. Right Action: The promotion of moral, honorable, and peaceful conduct. Right Livelihood: Choosing to live by a profession which is honorable, blameless, and innocent of harm to others.
