So, how's your 2019 going?
We're right at that halfway point, which is always an interesting time to do a skosh of reflection.
Think about the kind of vision you had in place for your year when 2019 began, then have a moment of #realtalk with yourself.
Where are you at now?
Were you able to knock out all your goals like you’d originally intended, or were there unexpected twists and turns in your best-laid plans?
And more importantly than following a plan to the letter, were you able to grant yourself grace when you couldn't?
Because the true measure of success here isn’t necessarily checking off each and every To Do item in the exact order it’s presented, it’s more about what you do with all the juicy information the experience gives you to use moving forward in healthy, happy ways.
Taking on a challenge and squeezing out its wisdom is the work of your inner #warrior, and this week, we’re calling her out to play.
We all have one - an inner guide who wants nothing more than to see us bravely take on the world and successfully complete ALL its challenges: physical, mental, and emotional alike.
And just like me, your #warrior is undeniably on your side - rooting for you always, supporting you unconditionally, and believing without question that you are destined for amazing things.
Your intuition is a direct line to that guide, and with the proper time, attention and care, the spirit of your inner #warrior flourishes into the kind of energetic force that embodies our confidence, our determination, and our clarity around how our behaviors align with our goals.
We may have already knocked down a challenge or two so far in 2019, but who KNOWS how many more this year has in store for us. :)
So let’s prepare.
Let’s #warrior up, sifting through all the nuggets of insight we’ve gleaned from the first six months of the year in an effort to re-calibrate how we face the future.
What can we leave in the first half of the year?
What kind of amazing experiences would we like to invite to take its place?
Maybe 2019 has helped you realized you are stronger than you think, or that you can do hard things.
Maybe you've stuck to an exercise routine for the first time in ages, or up-leveled your nutrition. Maybe you read labels now, or cook more often than not.
Maybe you made a new connection between how your energy levels ad your food communicate with one another...or perhaps you more fully appreciate how accountability and support positively influence your commitments...or you have a better sense of who is a loyal friend and who is, well, not.
Any one piece of information like that, that you can take with you and shape your future decisions around? Well, that’s worth its weight in warrior gold.
Give it a think - what's run its course what's done, over, completed, finally fizzled, run its course, served its purpose, become dead weight?
On the flip side, what's something, in another six months' time, you'd be like to be marveling at as a part of your life? Now's a grand time to get that ball rolling.
